17 Great Whites Gather off Chatham

Cape Cod Times: It’s that time of year when crowds of great white sharks gather off Cape Cod’s coast, but it looks like there’s some room for improvement in how officials watching out for them communicate.

On Thursday [Aug. 6], 17 great whites congregated off Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge in Chatham, Atlantic White Shark Conservancy president Cynthia Wigren said late Friday afternoon, following an update from biologist John Chisholm of the state’s Shark Research Program.
