2 Dead in NH Boating Accident

A Saturday night [May 5] boating accident has left 2 people dead in New Hampshire, according to Seacoast Online. Two females, one a child, were killed when the 24’ Boston Whaler they were riding in struck a buoy on the New Hampshire side of the Piscataqua River.

In a press release, New Hampshire Marine Patrol said the accident occurred at 8:18 p.m., when the 24’ boat being driven by John Wickman, 59, of Eliot, Maine, struck the buoy, casuing one of the passengers to be ejected. After calling 911 for help, Wickman said he found the ejected passenger floating unconscious in the water.

The crash remains under investigation.
