2 Missing After Fishing Vessel Sinks off Nantucket

As of Tuesday morning, Coast Guard crews along with local agencies and good Samaritans were continuing their search for 2 commercial fisherman after their vessel sank Monday evening, Dec. 3, 10 miles southeast of Nantucket.
At approximately 6:10 p.m., the First Coast Guard District command center received a distress call via an emergency positioning indicating radio beacon (EPIRB) from the 69’ fishing vessel Misty Blue with 4 crewmembers aboard. The Misty Blue, a clamming vessel, is homeported in New Bedford.
The fishing boat Enterprise was in the area and rescued 2 of the crewmembers and transferred them to Coast Guard Cutter Steelhead.
Coast Guard and local agencies are currently searching for the remaining 2 crewmembers.
Water temperature at Nantucket was 46 Monday night.
