5 Rescued After Collision with Whale

August 21, 2010: According to a report issued by the Canadian Broadcasting Centre (CBC), a pleasure boat carrying a family of 5 collided with a whale in the Bay of Fundy off Campobello Island, New Brunswick, around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night, August 21.
According to a second report, the boat was launched into the air, sending all 5 passengers into the water. Three men and 2 women were rescued by the crew of a passing sardine carrier. Two were taken to the hospital. A whale rescue team was searching for the whale, believed to be a finback or minke.
