Teenager Rescued off Narragansett, RI

WPRI.com: A female swimmer that went missing off the coast of Narragansett [RI] has been pulled from the water, police confirm.

Officials said the girl in her early teens was snorkeling with her father in the area of Newton Avenue when she went missing just before 2:oo p.m. Rescue crews from the Coast Guard, Rhode Island State Police and local police and fire responded to the scene to assist in the search.

The extensive search lasted for w hours, until the girl was found by some rocks 50 yards from the shoreline.  CPR was administered and the girl was taken to South County Hospital. No word was issued on her condition.
