Action Plan Aims to Protect LI Sound

The New Haven Register reports on the unveiling of a new 2-year action plan to restore and protect the health of Long Island Sound. The plan was announced Tuesday in New Haven, Connecticut, and involves 4 primary goals:
Protect clean water and promote a healthy Sound:
- Maintain safe, healthy habitat for all things that live in the Sound
- Build LI Sound communities that work
- Invest in an economically vibrant Sound
- The current action plan is intended to serve until a more comprehensive 10-year plan can be created.
