Angry Lobsterman Blames Pesticides for Die-Off

Greenwich Time: Like the dwindling Long Island Sound lobster population, the fishermen who make a living off their bounty are becoming a thing of the past.
While many lobstermen have given up the longtime seafaring tradition, a handful, like Cos Cob’s Gus Bertolf, refuse to surrender without a fight. He and his lobstering brethren also want answers after years of dispute over the cause of the lobster’s demise.
“I am a New England lobster fisherman, a dying breed who do not exist anymore because we kill everything that we put our hands on,” an angry Gus Bertolf, 38, said recently.
