April Kids’ Events on Tap at CT River Museum

The CT River Museum of Essex offers 5 days of fun, educational workshops for kids ages 6-12 over the April vacation week. Programs run Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Here’s the lineup:

Monday, April 10: Dive into the Turtle Story

In honor of this week’s National Submarine Day, we will find out how the Turtle works, hear its exciting story, make crafts and do a science experiment.

 

Tuesday April 11: Create a Story Day

Do you like to create stories, poems or cartoons? Join us as we hear stories about the River and create our own using silly poems, cartoon ideas, and more!

 

Wednesday April 12: Big Wind Day

How does wind work? How can we make wind work for us? Today we explore the wonder of wind through games, experiments, and art projects.

 

Thursday April 13: Game Day

Do you like to play and create games? Today we will learn about the River and its people through games and puzzles.

 

Friday April 14: Focus on Fish

Today we explore the amazing fish who live in the Connecticut River, create fishy art projects, make our own fishing reels, and use dip and seine nets.

Rates:

$105/week, $25/day. 20% discount for Museum members.
