Article Shines Light on Cape Cod Ponds

CapeCodOnline: Like moths to a blazing garage light, the masses hit the ocean and Cape Cod Bay beaches every summer. The coves, creeks and harbors see plenty of action, too. Even though I try to avoid the crowded spots, count me in for some fun along the long stretches of Cape beach.
But dotted across the Cape, freshwater ponds beckon the water-lover, too. There are about 365 freshwater ponds on the Cape, according to Cape Cod National Seashore literature.
Some are private ponds or have limited access. Some are essentially mini-beaches, with beach stickers required like any other spot in town. Others, nestled far off main roads with no parking, require a local’s expertise to find.
