TheHour.com: You can learn a lot from nature. Harry Carey, external affairs director for AT&T, recognizes that and presented the Norwalk Land Trust with a $10,000 check to help expand the organization’s outdoor science education programs for children.
“AT&T knows that education—at all levels—is important,” said Carey during a press conference Tuesday at Norwalk Inn & Conference Center. “This grant meets the company’s guidelines for giving, especially since it helps children in need.”
The Norwalk Land Trust’s outdoor education program offers Norwalk school children the opportunity to get outdoors and learn about local wildlife and habitat in ecosystems such as woods and salt marshes. Nearly 900 children have visited Land Trust property for the program over the last two years.
