Bass Harbor, ME, Dredging Halted

DredgingToday.com: The dredging project in Bass Harbor has come to an unexpected halt as town and federal officials negotiate with the dredging contractor, Prock Marine of Rockland, on the area and costs involved for additional blasting and removal of ledge.
A meeting between the Board of Selectmen, the Harbor Committee, Prock Marine and the United States Army Corps of Engineers has been scheduled to discuss the matter, today Monday, January. 10, at the town office.
In November, the Board of Selectmen learned that Prock Marine had run into several unexpected areas of rock in the new, 6-foot northeast anchorage in Bass Harbor.
