Blue Hill, ME, Lecture to Focus on Marine Plastics Pollution

Fence Viewer: On Thursday, October 18, at the Marine Environmental Research Center (MERI) in Blue Hill [Maine], Kara Lavender Law will address the problem of plastic debris in the oceans and what is known and unknown about this increasingly troubling source of pollution.

Her talk is titled “Plastic at Sea: Science on a Tall Ship.” The event is free and open to the public at the MERI Center, which is located at 55 Main St.

A pre-lecture reception is scheduled for 5:00 p.m., followed by the talk at 6:45.
