Boat Catches Fire in Ellsworth, ME, Field

Ellswoth American: Firefighters were called to a boat fire on North Street, Friday afternoon [June 12]. The cause of the fire was not known in its immediate aftermath.

Deputy Ellsworth Fire Chief Kevin DePrenger said a half-dozen firefighters responded to the call, which came in around 3:00 p.m. A man who saw the 20-foot wooden boat on fire called it in when he drove past the scene.
