Boats Collide on VT Lake

Burlington Free Press: Two families narrowly escaped injuries over the weekend when a 17’ boat rammed a stationary craft on Lake Carmi in the town of Franklin, according to a Vermont State Police report.

Steve Cameron of Delmar, New York, his daughter Clara Grout and 5-year-old grandson—and the family’s golden retriever—were anchored on the north end of the lake Friday night watching fireworks, when Thomas Mitchell of Burlington piloted his craft into the other’s stern.
