July 5, 2016
Cape Cod Times: The body of an Orleans man diving for lobsters Saturday [July 2] was recovered off Town Neck Beach [in Sandwich, MA], according to officials.
Michael Dearth, 55, was found in his dive gear floating in the water near his boat, according to Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office spokeswoman Tara Miltimore. Dearth’s death is still under investigation. “There is nothing at this time to suggest it was anything other than accidental,” Miltimore wrote.
