Boston Harbor Report: 6.18.12
June 19, 2012
Bill & Jules Boston Harbor Sportfishing reports on the action in Boston Harbor:
The fishing has been a little tough the past couple of days, as the northeast and easterly winds are killing us! Still, over the past week we have managed to put a few fish in the box. There is still a ton of bait around—and not just mackerel. Last week I was reeling in a mackerel bait that I was fishing on the bottom and found a squid attached. As I was about to pull the mackerel out of the water, the squid took off in a puff of ink.
There have been some nice fish caught recently, and the bulk of them are still coming from the Boston area. When the tuna start really cruising Stellwagen Bank over the next few weeks, it will put the fish on the move and the harbor should be striper heaven.
Blues are around as well, but not in big numbers. However, with all the bait around, things are about to explode. If you want to get out and catch some fish give us a call and we will get you out on the water for a fun day of fishing.
Shared Trip Update!
Bill & Jules will start doing shared trips for striped bass on Monday and Thursday. If you are interested in fishing with some other people, or cannot afford a half-day trip on your own, these shared trips are the way to go.
Bill & Jules take a group of 4 people fishing for a half-day (5 hours) at a cost of $175 per person (tip included). They also maintain an email list to alert interested anglers when a trip opens up. If you would like to get on the list, send your name and email address to firstname.lastname@example.org.
