Boston Whaler 170 Super Sport is Fun, Versatile

The 170 Super Sport can reach a top speed of 47 mph with a 90-hp outboard.

The new 170 Super Sport recently unveiled by Whaler is versatile and unsinkable boat the whole family will enjoy. The boat boasts ample seating and lots of storage space, including a watertight Pelican case in the molded console, a dashboard glovebox and a storage net for loose items below a portside shelf. The 170 can be powered by outboards up to 90 hp, and is ideal for wakeboarding, fishing, tubing or just getting to a remote beach. It also makes a great tender.

The boat has a top speed of 47 mph and a range of 54 miles with a 90-horse engine. Best fuel economy with that power is 8.8 mpg at 3000 rpm (20 mph). The long list of standard features includes red graphics, a galvanized trailer, welded stainless rails and transom boarding steps. Whaler also offers an array of custom features and upgrades, such as color wraps and bucket seats, which can be added after purchase.
