Bridge Work to Halt Piscataqua River Travel

SeacoastOnline: Local Coast Guard officials are warning mariners who frequent the Piscataqua River to be prepared at the end of the month when the river is shut down as a result of the Memorial Bridge replacement project.
Chief Petty Officer David Andreesen, officer in charge of Coast Guard Station Portsmouth Harbor, said Thursday that the river passage will be closed for 3 days from January 30 to February 2. In case of inclement weather, the dates would shift to February 6 to 8.
