Bridgeport, CT, May Relocate Port Jeff Ferry Dock

CTPost.com: For years, the Bridgeport & Port Jefferson Steamship Company has said that it wanted to move the ferry dock from downtown to the East End [of Bridgeport, Connecticut], and for just as long, city officials have resisted that effort.
But now, with the ferryboat operation proposing a massive docking complex on Seaview Avenue along with jobs, a park and other enticements, the administration of Mayor Bill Finch is taking another look at the idea. The ferry company said that an East End facility would include a waterfront park, a dock for commercial ships and a small supermarket to help relieve the “food desert” conditions in that part of the city.
