VillageSoup Herald Gazette: Camden, Maine’s Wayfarer Marine announced the launch of Cangarda, the 126-foot steam yacht built in 1901, following completion of its winter work.

The successful haul of Cangarda in January signified the biggest boat lifted in the modern history of Wayfarer, a press release said.

During the course of the yacht’s stay with the yard, the topsides were faired and repainted. The paint repairs were undertaken in partnership with Rainey Custom Yacht Refinishing, which previously worked on the restoration of the boat. The process of long-boarding the entire hull took several weeks.
