Cape Coastline Cleanup Seeks Volunteers

CapeCodOnline reports that volunteers from at least 9 Cape towns will help clean up their shorelines Sept. 25 during the 23rd annual Coastsweep.

The statewide beach cleanup effort is sponsored by the Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management and coordinated by the Urban Harbors Institute in Boston. Volunteers get bags, gloves and other supplies to collect trash, and they can participate in an organized cleanup or create a cleanup of their own through the campaign’s website, CoastSweep.
