Cape Cod Beaches to Employ New Shark Warning Flags

Cape Cod Times: Cape Cod National Seashore Chief Ranger Leslie Reynolds on Tuesday unfurled a simple purple rectangle with a chalk-white silhouette of a great white shark.
A dozen of the flags, modeled after ones flown on South African beaches, will replace the solid purple ones flown off lifeguard stands last year that were intended to warn beachgoers of “dangerous marine life” in the water.
