Cape Cod Canal Dredging Begins Early
December 17, 2015
The Cape Cod Times reports that the Cape Cod Canal dredging project may start around Christmas Day, a week earlier than expected. The work will likely take 2.5 to 3 weeks to complete, and will involve the removal of some 180,000 cubic yards of sand from the Canal. The sand will be used to restore Town Neck Beach in Sandwich, which has suffered from erosion.
