Cape Cod Canal Report: 11.11.12
November 12, 2012
Jeff Miller at Canal Bait & Tackle reports:
The Canal was great fishing before the Noreaster. The biggest fish that we weighed in before the storm was 33 pounds. However, after the storm the Canal has been very muddy and filled with seaweed. The fishing is still good around the mid-Canal area (small fish), but the Canal needs to flush out all the junk before the fish start feeding like before.
The water temperature is still warm and the bait (macks and sea herring) is still around in Cape Cod Bay. So you never know if the fishing will turn back on. Savage Sandeel’s, SP Minnows, and Tsunami shads were the most productive lures prior to the storm.
