Cape Cod Coast Guard Coverage Questioned

CapeCodOnline: It’s been 2 months since both of Chatham’s offshore rescue boats were disabled by waves at the infamous break at the mouth of the town’s harbor.
The pair of 42-foot Coast Guard vessels have been taken back to the factory where they were built in Washington state, and the Coast Guard investigation into what happened is ongoing.
With the boats out of service indefinitely, Chatham selectmen last week expressed concern in a letter to Coast Guard officials and their congressional delegation over the lack of protection for the local fishing fleet and other mariners.
