Cape Cod Pond Users Warned of Harmful Algae

CapeCodOnline: Uncle Harvey’s Pond [in Orleans, Massachusetts] exceeds the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s recommended levels for blue-green algae and should be avoided by people and pets, according to town officials.

The Orleans Health Department issued an advisory this week [September 24-28] warning people to avoid swimming and wading in the pond. Additionally, pet owners should not allow their animals to drink or swim in the water.
