Cape Cod Wastewater Lawsuits to be Settled
January 26, 2012
CapeCodOnline: Two lawsuits over Cape Cod’s wastewater management plans are on their way to settlement, according to documents filed in U.S. District Court on Friday [January 20].
The Conservation Law Foundation and Buzzards Bay Coalition sued the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency twice in the past year seeking to speed up efforts to reduce the flow of nitrogen into Cape bays and ponds. A settlement in the case could have major implications for Cape wastewater management plans, which are expected to cost billions of dollars.
