Cape Cod Water Celebration

CapeCodOnline.com reports that a new 2-day festival, “Celebrate Our Waters,” will link participants this weekend (Oct. 9-10) to the bays and oceans that surround the town, as well as many of its 60-plus freshwater ponds.
A wide range of free tours and talks from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday are planned by the event’s sponsors, the Orleans Pond Coalition and the town’s parks and beaches department. During the 2 days, guides will lead walks and a bike ride to town landings and ponds. There will also be three guided kayak trips, with kayaks and life jackets provided. Advance registration is required for the kayak trips by calling 508-240-1211.
