The Viking 200, to be held August 3 in Dennis on Cape Cod, challenges local businesses, organizations, and individuals to build a boat entirely out of cardboard, duct tape, glue, caulking and paint, stick 2 people in it, and race around a 200-yard course on the Bass River.

Winners in various categories receive prizes, trophies, and above all, bragging rights to the coveted Viking Cup and Rubber Ducky Trophy. That honor will be defended this year by the Sand Dollar Restaurant & Pub Team of Dennisport.

Other distinctive awards include Best Design, Most Outrageous, Best Team Spirit, Most Artistic, Best Boat Name, Largest Crew and the Andrea Doria Award for the Most Spectacular Sinking.
