Chaparral 246 WT Designed for Fun

The new Chaparral SSi 246 Wide Tech is a big dual-console brimming with features that make it an ideal platform for watersports fun, relaxing and entertaining. The bow area features cushioned wraparound seating, recessed speakers, 4 cup holders and a 4-step boarding ladder that stows in the anchor locker. Under the bow seats are 3 large storage compartments, including an insulated cooler. Pull-up cleats and low-profile handrails add to the boat’s sleek lines.

A carpeted walkway passes through a hideaway door and windshield between the twin consoles. The helm features an ergonomic gauge layout and circuit-breaker-protected switches, as well as a padded wheel. The port console conceals a roomy, airy head compartment with a large porthole for natural light and ventilation, a clothes rack and ample storage for towels and other items.

More cushioned seating surrounds the cockpit area, with plenty of storage below. A deep, in-deck compartment on the centerline can be used to hold all kinds of watersports gear and life preservers. The port transom corner contains a big compartment that holds a removable cooler, and there’s a fold-down sunpad for 2 on the center of the transom. A wide swim platform with folding boarding ladder makes it easy to get in and out of the water.
