Coast Guard Searches for 3 Year Old Girl Near Rockport, MA

U.S. Coast Guard rescue crews are searching for a missing three year-old girl near Rockport, Mass., Thursday.
Coast Guard crews are working with local authorities to locate the missing girl. Boston watchstanders received notification that the girl went missing near Long Beach at 12:50 p.m.
A Coast Guard 47-foot Motor Life Boat crew from Station Gloucester, a 49-foot rescue boat crew from Aids to Navigation Team Boston, and a MH-60 Rescue helicopter, from Air Station Cape Cod, are searching the area.
Local authorities including Rockport Police Department boat and helicopter crews along along with the harbormaster are also searching the area. A shoreline search is being conducted.
The Coast Guard Cutter Flying Fish, an 87-foot patrol boat, is en-route to the scene.
“The Coast Guard is working closely with state and local authorities to maximize search efforts,” said Lt. Jordan Boghosian, the command duty officer for the 1st District Command Center. “We hoping for the best possible outcome.”
