The boating public is invited to a free hurricane-awareness event at U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod TODAY.

Air Station Cape Cod and NOAA will provide static aircraft displays, including an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter, HU-25 Guardian jet and a P-3 Orion “Hurricane Hunter” aircraft and subject matter experts to present hurricane awareness, preparedness, water safety, and rescue and survival information to attendees.

Additionally, the National Weather Service, Museum of Science, Blue Hill Observatory and Science Center, Cape Cod Medical Reserve Corps and other agencies will have booths nearby with additional information.

The event is open to the general public from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
