Connecticut Man Pulled From River

New Haven Register: On Tuesday, Nov. 2, the New Haven Fire Department and the Coast Guard rescued a man found clinging to a pylon in the Quinnipiac River who claimed he was assaulted and thrown into the water. It was unclear for how long the man was in the chilly water, which was about 58 degrees. The incident took place at around 2:45 a.m.

Fire Department Assistant Chief Ralph Black said authorities were alerted to a problem early Tuesday morning when the city’s 911 center received multiple calls from people in the area of the Ferry Street Bridge reporting hearing a man cry for help.
