CT Incident Highlights Need for Offseason Safety

The Hour of Norwalk, Connecticut, reported on the rescue of a 68-year-old man who was rescued after falling into the water while walking on a dock at Cove Marina some 2 weeks ago. The victim is still recovering at Norwalk Hospital.
On the night of Dec. 6, Tom Wilson, an employee at Cove Marina, reportedly heard a splash after seeing a man walking near one of the boats docked at the marina. When he couldn’t find the man, Wilson alerted 911. Norwalk Fire Rescue arrived and miraculously managed to find and fish the man from the water using a boat hook.
The unconscious man was not breathing when pulled from the water, but rescue workers were able to resuscitate him using CPR.
