CT Middle-Schoolers to Celebrate the Sound

TheDay.com: Try telling bunch of middle schoolers that they really should care about their watershed, and watch their eyes glaze over.
Ask them to hop on a Project Oceanology boat that’s headed out into the Long Island Sound to see what creatures they can net out of the water, and it’s a different story.
That’s the hope and strategy of the Long Island Sound Foundation (LISF), a local nonprofit gearing up with a handful of other environmental education and outreach organizations to inspire and educate close to 500 kids from across the state at the 8th annual Marine Sciences Day on Thursday, May 19.
