CT Riverbank Project Announced
August 12, 2014

Construction of a project for emergency streambank protection along the Connecticut River in Middletown, Connecticut, will be completed under the terms of a $1,282,550 contract recently awarded by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District, according to an article on DredgingToday.com.
The work consists of stabilizing approximately 1,300’ of riverbank along the right bank of the Connecticut River in Middletown adjacent to the John S. Roth Municipal Well Field on River Road. The work is required to stabilize the shoreline and prevent further erosion of the riverbank, which has threatened the city’s well field and public water supply.
