CT Senate Approves Coastal Management Bill

New Haven Register: The [Connecticut] state Senate passed a bill Friday that a chief proponent says will create a framework to address concerns ranging from rising sea levels in Long Island Sound to increased coastal flooding and severe erosion.

State Sen. Ed Meyer, D-Guilford, who led the effort to pass the bill, named “An Act Concerning Coastal Management and Shoreline Flood and Erosion Control Structures,” will preserve and protect the shoreline, but respects the rights of property owners.
