CT Woman Dies While Fishing

Middletown Press: A Higganum [Connecticut] woman drowned Sunday night [May 6] at Higganum Creek Falls, police said Monday.
Colleen Mahoney, 49, of 74 Thayer Road, died after falling into the water while fishing at Higganum Creek Falls around 7:30 p.m., state police Sgt. Sal Calvo said.
“She was fishing, lost her balance, and fell into the water,” Sgt. Calvo said Monday. “She fell into a fast moving stream and suffered head trauma.”
