Cuttyhunk, Menemsha to Delay Harbor Opening

According to the Vineyard Gazette, Cuttyhunk Harbormaster George Isabel has announced that the island’s harbor will be closed to transient boat traffic until at least June 15, and that Menemsha Harbor moorings and slips won’t be available until July 1 or later. However, non-resident boaters will be allowed temporary tie-up to buy fuel and ice.

Chilmark residents will be allowed to keep their vessels in their designated slips and on moorings in Menemsha.

Meanwhile, in Vineyard Haven, the Owen Park town marina is awaiting word from Tisbury town officials on when it will be allowed to open.
