9/20/10: The Block Island Times reports of a daring rescue of 2 recreational fishermen from Springfield, Mass., whose 34-foot powerboat capsized off Black Rock on Sunday morning after being struck by an apparent rogue wave spawned by Hurricane Igor. The men were in the water about an hour before being rescued by Police Chief Vincent Carlone, an avid spearfisherman, who swam out to the men and led them offshore to another boat.
