Once maligned as one of the most polluted waterways in America, the Charles River now serves as a paradise for urban paddlers, rowers, sailors, anglers and, yes, even powerboaters who heed the speed limit.

It’s a river that can be shared and appreciated by boaters of all stripes, and fall is a wonderful time to visit.
