Dockside Dining: Frye’s Leap Café, Sebago, ME
Photo/New England Boating

Frye’s Leap Café is a cherished institution among Sebago Lake boaters, being one of the few dock-and-dine restaurants at this popular Maine vacation spot. Dockage is available along the floats next to the ferry landing, space permitting (try to arrive after 1:00 p.m. to avoid the lunch crowd).

The café has outdoor seating and serves a wide variety of tasty lunch and dinner items, including fried clams, build-your-own burgers and creative wraps, but we highly recommend the grilled shrimp tacos, kickin’ calamari, pizza, steak bomb and something called “blat”. The fries and desserts are outstanding as well, and brunch is served weekends.

Frye’s Leap also features a small bar stocked with an outstanding selection of micro-brews, as co-owner David Wagner is a self-proclaimed “beer geek.” They also serve mixed drinks.

For more information go to the Frye’s Leap website or call (207) 655-4256.
