Dolphin Euthanized After Stranding on Cape Cod
March 15, 2013
CapeCodOnline: A common dolphin found alive and stranded on a Cape Cod Bay beach near Seaway Road [Brewster] was euthanized Wednesday afternoon [March 13], after rescuers determined the animal was suffering and a poor candidate for release.
“It’s never an easy decision,” said Brian Sharp, stranding coordinator for the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW). “We do it in consultation with veterinarians and our field biologists.”
