Drone Could be Used to Catch Maine Shellfish Poachers

Wiscasset, Maine, selectmen are investigating the use of a drone camera to prevent poachers from depleting local clam beds, according to the Lincoln County News. Poaching has become a problem in Wiscasset as the approximate price of a bushel of clams climbed to $200. Purchase of a drone is estimated at $2,000 and would need to come out of the town budget.
