Duxbury Bay 2013 Sea School Registration Open

The Duxbury Bay Sea School in Duxbury, Massachusetts, teaches kids 12 through 15 the basics of powerboat operation.

The state-approved boating-safety course focuses on the equipment and operating guidelines needed to enjoy boating in a safe and responsible way.

Kids who complete the course will receive their Junior Operators Certificate. Courses are held Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

2013 Junior Operators Certificate Sessions:

  • Session 1: July 8-10
  • Session 2: July 22-24
  • Session 3: Aug. 12-14

Session Information:


  • In Class: 8:30-12:00
  • On-Water: 12:30-3:30


  • Class time: Free
  • On-water lessons: $450

2013 Duxbury Bay Fishing Course Sessions:

Sea School also offers Fishing Classes taught by local guide Capt. John Bunar. Each session runs 4 days, 4 hours per day (except 2-day Session 1).

  • Session 1: June 27-28 ($225)
  • Session 2: July 1-5 (no class July 4)
  • Session 3: July 8-11
  • Session 4: July 15-18
  • Session 5: July 22-25

  • Session times: 8:30-12:30 or 1:30-5:30
  • Cost: $550
