Event of the Week: 2016 New England Chowdafest

The ever-popular New England Chowdafest will be held Sunday, October 2, at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport, CT, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Join the fun and serve as judge as 40 award-winning chefs and restaurants from all over New England compete for the title of best chowder, soup and bisque in New England.

Attendees get a spoon, ballot and pencil as they enjoy unlimited samplings then rate the soups on a scale of 7.0 to 10.5. The restaurants with the best average rating win their respective category.

The 4 categories include: Classic New England Clam Chowder, Traditional Chowders (Manhattan/Rhode Island’s), Creative Chowder and Soup/Bisque.
