Exclusion Zone Created in Penobscot Bay

The Coast Guard has established a 100-yard safety exclusion zone to be set around the 750-foot drilling ship Stena Forth, which is scheduled to undergo repair of her thrusters in Penobscot Bay east of Rockland, Maine, around June 17.

Mariners and fishermen must take care to remain outside the exclusion zone from June 15 to July 5, according to the Coast Guard. The approximate position of the Stena Forth will be 44° 06’ 54”N/069° 02’ 54”W, or about 1 mile east of the Rockland breakwater.
