Extreme Swimmer to Raise Money for ME Lighthouses

Knox Village Soup: Going for a swim on a cold December day in Rockland Harbor, when the water temperature is an average 40 degrees, isn’t something at the top of most people’s to-do list, but for one Maine resident that’s exactly what he will do—all to help lighthouses.

Gary “Creekman” Sredzienski of Kittery will take to the waters of Rockland Harbor on December 10 to raise money for Rockland Breakwater and Owls Head lighthouses, which are cared for by the Rockland-based non-profit American Lighthouse Foundation and its chapter, Friends of Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse.
