Feds to Sell Plum Island, Future Unclear

New Haven Register: Eleven miles of largely undeveloped Long Island Sound shoreline that encircles 840 acres—home to 57 rare bird species and 16 rare plant species — is about to become available. Its owner, the U.S. government, wants to sell it.
For what purpose has yet to be decided.
But with what some say is one of the last great natural jewels in this part of the country at stake, not everyone thinks selling it is a good idea.
