Fewer Subs to be Stationed in Groton, CT

TheDay.com: The Navy plans to keep fewer submarines in Groton as the military shifts its focus toward Asia and sends its newest, most capable ships and aircraft to the western Pacific, the Navy’s top admiral said Tuesday [September 25].
By 2020, the Naval Submarine Base is expected to have 2 squadrons with 6 attack submarines per squadron, instead of the 16 submarines it has today.
